Joseph John

Joseph John is a Calgary-based freelance reporter and a Canadian Freelance Guild (CFG) member. He is known for his selfless contributions as a volunteer reporter. He serves as a director board member of the Indo-American Press Club . He has previously been president of the Malayalee Cultural Association of Calgary, a community with over 8,000 members.

Joseph’s dedication to the Malayalam language and culture is unwavering. He is the founder and organizer of ‘Kavya Sandhya,’ a platform that tirelessly promotes literary and cultural activities for the children from Kerala. His role as the Canada co-ordinator for the Malayalam Mission (an initiative by the Government of Kerala) further exemplifies his commitment.

Professionally, Joseph works as a cathodic protection specialist, a role that involves ensuring the integrity of metal structures by preventing corrosion. His expertise in this field has been recognized, and he has previously served as the secretary for the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (Association of Materials Protection and Performance) for the Calgary Chapter of the U.S. & Canada Northern Area.

As a writer, Joseph publishes under the pen name J.J. Adoor. He has authored two books in the Malayalam language: “Thura” and “Padmasreeyum Swathanthryavum.”
