Prof.Joy Pallattumadom

Joy Pallattumadom was Prof. of Zoology in St. Stephen’s College, Uzhavoor and a former Member of the Board of Studies, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He started his social orientation serving as the Chairman of the College Union of St. Thomas College of Education, Pala in 1980-81, and throughout his academic career, he worked with many professional organizations and NGOs in India and abroad in the leadership role. He compiled and published four academic books and was the Co-Editor of two environmental magazines during 1990-2004. He was a Member of the Pastoral Council of the Syro Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago (2019-21).

Now, residing in Dallas, Prof. Joy is currently serving as the Global Vice President of Global Indian Council (GIC) and also as the President of the Pravasi Malayali Federation (PMF) North America Region. As the Director of the Malayalam Fraternity of Dallas, he continues to conduct Malayalam Language Courses for the Pravasi students. He also served IAPC Dallas Chapter as its Vice President (2015-19) and represented it at the IAPC National Executive Committee. He is the recipient of Bhasha Mithra Award (2022) from the World Malayali Council (WMC).
